Environmental Justice Committee Meeting [Confirmed]

The June public meeting for the Environmental Justice Committee for ANC 3C will be held on 6/12/2023, beginning at 6:30:00 PM online. All are welcome to hear the issues presented below. Draft Agenda:

Discussion about the Zero Waste DC composting program with guest speaker Rachel Manning. Ms. Manning will present on the District’s current composting services and curbside pilot program and take questions from the community.

Rachel Manning is a Zero Waste Program Analyst with the Department of Public Works (DPW) Office of Waste Diversion. She is one of the project leads on the District’s strategic Zero Waste DC Plan and DPW’s Curbside Composting Pilot Program. Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee, and a master’s degree in Sustainability Management from American University in Washington, D.C.
